Hi SM, Hi All;
Yes, there was no information on how the data was destroyed, no any protocol/procedure adopted for the task. Maybe this can be classified as Ish's "manque de transparence" [1 - 3rd column 2nd paragraph]. Being made to abide by and adopt the new ID card and to finally see its database being "destroyed", the public, in my honest opinion, should be able to question "les authorites concernees" about the techniques used, the 'honesty' of the operations and maybe any futurecoming project in the field.
_at_SM: I think you missed a point in your message. The Rs.100,000 was for the purchase of the "backup-tapes" used for the duplication/backup of the database before its destruction. [1 - 2nd column 3rd paragraph]
