Hi Cedric,
Please, have a look at the features of the meetup.com space that the
MSCC is using since the beginning.

That's great and your feedback is much appreciated. May I suggest that
you might consider to use the "correct" suggestion box [1]? This mailing
list about internet users in Mauritius might not be the best option in
aspects and ideas related to the MSCC.

As stated in my other response. ANY craftsmen of the MSCC is able to set
up and schedule a meeting on the meetup.com platform under the umbrella
of the MSCC. Please check the website. [2]

That's already happening since 2013.
And a mailing list is provided by the platform [3]

Already happening. Furthermore, there is a public git repository on
GitHub in the name of the MSCC [4].

Sure, these are all very good and noble ideas. But let's not forget...
there is no free lunch!
How many professional software developers would consider to work for
free in order to do what you're suggesting?

"Yes, we can!"
How about setting up a MSCC meeting regarding your ideas? Go ahead, on
the meetup.com page and write an introduction about the purpose, see for
a location for ~ 30+ people with seating and internet access, and
suggest a date. AFAIK, you should give it at least 2-3 weeks in advance
so that other members can schedule their activities accordingly and will
be able to attend. Just one constraint: the last Saturday of the month
should be discussed with me first ;-)
