I came across a case where it was claimed that some of the "IP"

In Mauritius people read things on the web and believe that it is
applicable over here. :-)

You can go to the police to file a complaint or you can hire a
lawyer. I doubt that there would be any results. I did not include
the previous sentence to discourage you. The issue is
complex. You'll need more than one person to tackle it.
