The GMail filer are fairly decent, even if they are weird.
In my experience filtering on the client has some major drawbacks,
especially if you have multiple devices. Specifically, I need emails to
be filtered BEFORE they reach my phone. This is hard to guarantee when
the filtering is being done by an IMAP client.
