Hi Florian,

The news article about "Mais à quoi donc sert
l’ICTA?" [1] mentions that "L’ICTA se charge en
outre de «bloquer» des contenus". Was there any
public consultation before the system was
installed? Is it a good idea to have a National Internet Filtering System?

The news article also mentions that "Elle gère un
fonds connu comme le Universal Service Fund et
qui est utilisé pour permettre à davantage de
Mauriciens d’avoir accès à Internet". There
isn't any financial information about the
Universal Service Fund on the ICTA's web
site. Shouldn't that information be publicly available?

The ICTA quotes Section 18 of the ICT Act 2001
"which pertain to consumer protection amongst
which are that the Authority shall provide"
[2]. Does the ICTA publish any information about
the number of yearly complaints it has received
from consumers and what has been done about those complaints?

Regards,
S. Moonesamy
