Dear Ms Ghurbharrun,

In an email dated 30 March the Consumer Affairs Unit replied as
follows: "However . the laws of internet access does not fall under
the purview of the Consumer Afairs unit, thus we had to refer your
complaint to Information, Communication Technology Authority. The
reply is being awaited". I have not received any further reply from
the Consumer Affairs Unit.

I initially wrote to the Consumer Affairs Unit on 1 August 2015 to
have its advice about Internet Service Provider advertising. My
email was forwarded to a company which sells internet access services
and the Information and Communication Technologies Authority. It
will be one year tomorrow since I have been waiting for advice about
this matter. Isn't the Consumer Affairs Unit responsible for
providing advice about whether a consumer trade practice is likely to
have an effect of misleading or confusing consumers?

Regards,
S. Moonesamy
