Hi Sruti,

The following is from a presentation about security and safe keeping
of official information at a Civil Service Induction by Mr P. Dookee,
Data Protection Officer/Senior Data Protection Officer:

   "All classified data is exempt from the

    - Freedom of Information Act as well as many other laws and regulations."

There isn't any Freedom of Information Act for Mauritius. Would a
person assume that there is such an act after reading the above?

Here is a fictitious problem: The buses on the bus route between your
home and your place of work are usually old. You would like to find
out whether it is a coincidence. You sent a request for information
about that to the transport authority. You didn't receive a
reply. What do you do?
