I might agree it not customary in Mauritius for front-desk officers to
give their family name as they usually don't want to be re-contacted by
the same customer in case they didn't give the right information. This
is based on my personal experience.
However, I would not expect such behavior from Orange which aims to
provide the highest level of service to its valued customers
