Hi Nadim,

I'll leave Ish to comment about whether he quickly received the
support of the Mauritius Internet Users when he received the
following letter:

There was an interview of Ish last year when in which he commented
about "govmu.org pris pour cible". I made a short comment, as
representative of the Mauritius Internet Users, in L'Express Weekly
about the Facebook issue. Those are based on the views expressed
during discussions on this mailing list. Is the group
effective? You said no. I am okay with that. :-)

Ok.

The last meeting of the forum was in June. We have unfortunately not
made any progress.

I was contacted by an official of the World Bank. I asked whether
other persons on the mailing list would be interested in attending
the Open Data workshop. Either Ish or I requested an invitation for
the people who were interested. It is not a matter of being popular;
a few of us share information on this mailing list so that other
people can also benefit if they are interested.

I agree with what you wrote about politics and lobbying for a
company. It is up to the members to question the executive members
on the use or misuse of funds.
