Seems like they did fix my connection; I received a call from their hotline
and was asked what kind of problem I was facing. Told them to do a forward
trace to the above mentioned server, and to fix and choose the correct
path. Some hours later, my connection got reset and I'm getting a ping of
~100 ms compared to a past horrid >400~ ms to sgp-1.valve.net.

There is only one person complaining about a problem which affects gaming.

I had a small chat with the person managing their twitter account at the
moment, and it was mentioned that they did try to help in the past, but a
certain individual went to the ICTA and that matter "blew in their face".
I personally find it weird with one individual going to the ICTA means that
the ISP will be reluctant to help other customers; since helping customers
will be one way to prevent them from contacting the ICTA in the first place.
Well, there are other persons complaining about this problem.. on facebook,
which sounds more of a rant/tantrum than a complaint tbh.
For now, I'm trying to get in touch with other gamers having this latency
problem and having them contact the company hosting the sgp-1.valve.net server
to figure out whether the latency problem is on their end or our local
ISP's.
Cheers,
EVad
