Correct, USD 190 for 3 years to be precise.

1x 3-letter .mu domain
1x very long .mu domain

Same price, no difference in handling.

I have no further information regarding the price policy except the
official communique by NIC.mu which states there are no changes of
prices [1].

Nowhere did I read anything of hard proof coming from NIC.mu or IDL
about those mysterious "premium" domains than what has been reported by
some. But I have to admit that there might be some specialised handling
as searches for 2-letter and 3-letter domains respond with "Not Available".

Okay, the whois response has the explanation itself:

Some weeks back I sent some questions to support_at_register.mu asking for
clarification on the price structure "as I heard rumours" which haven't
been answered yet. I'll follow-up on that one.

Do you have an exact date? Or reference online / offline?
