Improvement in latency under load ?

Dear All,

I noticed an improvement in terms of latency with multiple
connections. Here is my test using The Huawei FTTH modem (which does
not have any QoS). I'm getting an A with a spike of 1000ms:

And here's the result with a tp-link archer c7 v2 running openwrt with
sqm-qos: A+ with spike of 185ms. The spike mitigation is due to
activating Active Queue Management using fq_codel:

There's at least one person who also saw an improvement in his latency
with Orange. I would like to know if this is a general improvement or
only localized one.
