I don't think that any of the 3 points you mentioned matters to users
outside of Mauritius. As it is mentioned on wikipedia:

Mauritius, where as some of the international users will associate .mu to
Mauritius while others will associate .mu with something else (like music
and museum)
I'm sure you know about linkedin[1]. Well the short url for linkedin is
https://lnkd.in and i have never thought about it being something related
to India[2]. But i'm sure that most people from India would.
