Hi Codarren,

Here is the ping output I got:

   PING sgp-1.valve.net (103.28.54.2): 56 data bytes
   64 bytes from 103.28.54.2: icmp_seq=0 ttl=52 time=84.471 ms
   64 bytes from 103.28.54.2: icmp_seq=1 ttl=52 time=83.795 ms
   64 bytes from 103.28.54.2: icmp_seq=2 ttl=52 time=84.006 ms
   64 bytes from 103.28.54.2: icmp_seq=3 ttl=52 time=83.769 ms
   64 bytes from 103.28.54.2: icmp_seq=4 ttl=52 time=83.998 ms
   --- sgp-1.valve.net ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 5 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
   round-trip min/avg/max/std-dev = 83.769/84.007/84.471/0.444 ms

You mentioned that: "Right now ping rises to 300-400 which puts us at
a disadvantage to our opponents". There are two or three persons who
consider the latency as a problem.
