One way of knowing is to look for a review system. A review system
encourages users to give their personal opinions about a product. It
also shows user interaction.
Another system you can look for is a rating system. It also shows user
interaction but is more broad than the review system and can be faked
easier than the review system.
At least one of the above must be present for a respected shopping
website. Without any of these, you can already sense scam as the website
owner does NOT want user to give any type of feedback. It that
situation, it COULD be "don't buy this is scam!"
