I use Wappalyzer on Firefox and Chromium browser. It is simple to
install & use. It lists the applications on which a website is running
such as the CMS, libraries used, web server software and operating system.
Those with a technical background may gather some information using NMAP
NSE scripts (
https://nmap.org/nsedoc).
Another way would be by looking at the webpage source. In most browsers,
you could right-click and select "view page source". Within the HTML
head tags you could find information about the CMS type/version and
libraries loaded.
