I usually remind people that we do not discuss about politics.
I understand that there is a desire for some messages to be kept
within the confines of the mailing list. People have requested web
access. It is better to consider the messages sent as public as I do
not have any way to restrict how other persons may use your (or other
persons) messages.
Some people are understandably uncomfortable to make some comments in
an open venue. I suggest not to make the comments on the mailing or
to use other venues which can ensure that the comments are private.
I don't think that you are violating any rule. The issue is that it
is going to make matters difficult for Shelly if she has to determine
when a person should include a name in his/her message. I would
appreciate if you (and anyone else) includes a name in his/her
messages to the mailing list.
