Since the inception of Mauritius Internet Users (MIU) last year, we have
been discussing matters pertaining to Internet in Mauritius. Topics
revolved mainly around these subjects:

- Bandwidth situation in Mauritius
- Cost of Internet access in Mauritius
- Local hosting
- Security of Mauritian websites
- Government Online Services

Has any of the above improved? I could look at things and say no. Can I
really measure it? Not really. Why? Would Internet users of Mauritius
actively participate/collaborate to measure the above? We did several talks
in local universities[1][2][3][4] and at least one presentation[5] about
Internet & MIU. How many students from these universities have been
"actively" participated to make Internet better in Mauritius? The low
participation can be substantiated by analyzing the "public archive" vs the
number of students (using Internet for research purposes) in those
universities.

I would say the Mauritian Internet Users have blatantly failed the
"Mauritius Internet Users".
