Hello SM,
I would like to thank you for representing us at the Telecommunications and ICTs: Drivers of innovation workshop. The title of the workshop is very long. Anyway, i thank you for sharing what has been discussed.
Question time:
>Is the approach to innovation a failure?
Yes it is, because i haven't seen any innovative Mauritian Project so far. Talking about the approach and failure. Has the Executive Director change the approach so that people are encouraged to come with new ideas? Or does the Executive Director prefer to just sit and get paid rather than working out a new approach?
>He also mentioned that the Mauritius Research Council provided funding for several research projects. Ish commented that there was a person in Mauritius who has developed open source software and asked whether funding would be available for such projects. The reply was that the stakeholders already include such people working on those type of projects.
I would like to ask Logan this question: Has the Mauritius Research Council provided you funding for your Open Source work?
> After lunch, there was a presentation about Innovative Public service and ICT. Ish noticed that he could not sign in on m.govmu.org as the Google CAPTCHA was missing in the mobile version of the web site.
I would like to know the reaction of the Acting Director of the Central Informatics Bureau when Ish told him that the Google CAPTCHA was missing in the mobile version of the web site.
>I commented that there was some discussion on the Mauritius Internet Users mailing list about the government web site and pointed out that it was based on nostalgic web design. I asked whether there were any standards for government web sites.
You pointed out the Government Website issue and i would like to know what you meant when you said: The reply was that they are mentioned as part of the tender process.
I would also like to know about the 'seven ways to boost innovation for a SMART Mauritius.'
Thank you.
