Hi folks,

Did you read the latest cabinet decisions [1] ?

I quote:

« Cabinet has taken note of an Opinion Paper of the Law Reform
Commission on “Law on Social Media: Fake Profiles, Fake News, and
      other Harmful Practices”. »

The 50 something pages of the recommendations [2] of the Law Reform
Commission is based mostly on legislation of other countries and
workshops carried out there. I don't find any mention of any workshop or
study to understand the extent and consequences of fake news in Mauritius.

Regards,

Ish Sookun
