Dear Colleagues and Students,
We are planning to power off all servers and network equipment at CITS
today 16 January 2018 at 16:00 as a precautionary measure since a cyclone
warning class 2 is in force in Mauritius. Consequently, all IT services
such as Internet/Intranet access, website, SIS, UIIS and MIS will be
disrupted.
Please note that email access outside the University and via mobile
connectivity will remain functional.
Kindly power off all your IT equipment and also move same away from
location prone to damage by water leakage before leaving the office.
The network equipment and servers will be powered on after the cyclone or
tomorrow morning (in case cyclone warning class 2 is maintained).
Hope that this advance notice minimizes any inconvenience. We rely on your
kind understanding.
Thanks & Best Regards
Roshan Halkhoree
