Hi Ajay, Nadim, SM,

> Hi, I have not watched the video yet but I'll share my opinion on
something. There is a problem with the wording "best-effort"
service. Theoretically, I could sell you a connection advertised as
"up to 50 Mbps" but then provide you only 10 percent of that
capacity for 18 hours and then about 50 Mbps for the remaining 6
hours of the day and I'm satisfying my part of providing you a "best-
effort, no-guarantee" service.

How the term is understood by the company stating it and the customer
reading about it can differ. So far it feels like a safe net being
used by ISPs.

> I watched the video yesterday only and if I remember
well, the guy said he bought the equipment. Section 4 of Emtel's Terms
and Conditions is about when the subscriber loans the equipment.

Yes. If you buy the equipment the Section 4 does not apply as it becomes
your property.

> It is not possible for me to express an opinion as I do not have the
information to assess the quality of the Emtel service. Can I rely the
opinion of another person if he/she exaggerates the issues or he/she
never provides information to support what he/she is saying?

Exactly! We cannot rely on someone's perception of a service to judge
the quality of that service as he/she could easily go over the top when
judging the service. When I watch reviews about specific products or
services, I will for reviews where the person is the least bias and
provides both the pros and the cons. Someone who has been using a
service for an amount of time and has experienced only the cons will
most of time focus on the cons than the pros. In that video for
instance, the fact that he constantly ran his internet allowance low and
pictured it as a major con, never gave us the opportunity to hear any
other cons (let's forget about the pros). So it was not a critical
review in any sense. Just how I like to call it, "whining"!

Regards, Mike
