Dear Mr Bhundhoo,

I would like to thank you for the engaging in the discussion in the
Radioplus studio during the "Grand Journal". The statistics about
Cybercrime on Facebook in Mauritius is based on the sources listed at
http://www.elandsys.com/~sm/cybercrime-facebook-mauritius.html

I would be grateful if I could be provided with the following information:

   (i) Number of social media complaints which the Cybercrime Unit received
         yearly since 2009

(ii) Number of internet-related complaints which the Cybercrime Unit
         received yearly since 2009

(iii) The number of arrests yearly for (i) and (ii) since 2009

(iv) The number of convictions for (i) and (ii) since 2009

During the "Grand Journal" you mentioned that the government has made
requests to Facebook for its investigations. Facebook publishes a
Government Requests Report. I read the January 2013 to June 2015
reports available at https://govtrequests.facebook.com/ Mauritius is
not in the list of countries which have requested information from
Facebook. It could be used to raise awareness of local Facebook
users about not posting abusive comments on Facebook if the
Cybercrime Unit could provide information about the number of
requests it made to Facebook from January 2013 to June 2015.

Regards,
S. Moonesamy
