Hello MIU,

I'll share some information regarding a restriction we've encountered while
registering the "Linux User Group Meta (Mauritius)" as an association in
2009. Turns out we were originally called the "Mauritius Linux User Group"
when we started as a mailing list around year 2000. We had difficulties
registering ourselves with the word "Mauritius" in the name because
according to government policies, this might cause confusion that the
company/body/association is state-ran. Previously it was our understanding
that it was a problem only if the word "Mauritius" was the first word of
the name, such as "Mauritius Linux User Group". We offered "Linux User
Group of Mauritius" which was also denied. I do not know if policies have
changed since.
