Lack of reverse DNS on Mauritius Telecom IP

Hello MIU,

I have observed that the IP address currently allocated to my ADSL
subscription lacks a reverse DNS entry. (PTR record)

I recall some years ago, I did have a reverse DNS on IP addresses allocated
to me on my ADSL service.

To check if your currently allocated IP address has a reverse DNS entry or
not, you may use https://remote.12dt.com/ which will auto-fill your IP
address.

While not mandatory, it is desirable to have a reverse DNS as it is
required in some situations, like sending email without using an ISP as
relay host.
