_at_Logan: This is completely incorrect. AFRINIC does not have any network connection to the MIXP, nor does AFRINIC peer at teh MIXP. Nor is AFRINIC shown as a member on the web site. And has never been.

That is correct.
You may also note that on the "contact" page, AFRINIC's postal address is used. You may also note a the start of the address "c/o".
Please reference https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/c/o (or put "address c/o" into your favourite searhc engine)...

"[Care of](https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/care_of#English), usually abbreviated as c/o on envelopes, signifies an intermediary who is responsible for transferring a piece of mail between the postal system and the final addressee. For example when the addressee has no standard address, is under a corporate mail system, or is being manually forwarded mail sent to a more accessible location."

For the time being AFRINIC is acting as a point of contact for MIXP correspondence. This is cleary indicated by the use of "c/o" in the address.

Any interpretation that this indicates AFRINIC "runs" the MIXP is a mis-interpretation by the reader.

Hope tha clears things up.

All the best,
Daniel
