I've observed some times people write email in poor English and spam
filters would find those to be similar to phishing. The warnings could
be triggered from information available in message headers which show
the source of the email as well.

Emails that come from people in your contact list would not land in the
spam folder but if the message appears suspicious, you'll get a warning
sign. The sign is like a reminder that you should pay particular
attention whether the sender truly is a contact of yours or whether
his/her account could have been compromised. It's done as an attempt to
ward off potential theft of personal information.
