I don't know whether people who are working in Mauritius are allowed
by their employer to claim the IPR as their own. As I mentioned
previously the IPR work of a university student belongs to the
university. I asked the following question: Will the IPR work
belong to the university, the company you are working for or someone
else? There wasn't any reply.

From what I seen the knowledge about IPR is non-existent. I do not
think that it is a good idea to wait for something to become a
problem to tackle it. As for whether this is unfair I'll use three
persons for which there is information available. Ish commented that
outside of his work at Stella Telecom his ideas & discoveries belong
to him. He regularly blogs about that. Shelly mentioned that her
comments and her commitment as the one in charge of the Mauritius
Internet Users has nothing to do with her work or the other
organisations. It is clear that Shelly has not been learning by
observing or else I would not be receiving questions from her. Sruti
is not at a university and she is not learning from
observing. Please send an email to the mailing list if you believe
that there is any other person(s) who would have to use another email address.
